March, Rallies and Chaos

Any group of people which takes the form of a cult without any political philosophy but with bigger drum beats, is detrimental to peace and harmony of the country. An echelon with motive to create chaos and oppose rationale political forces is a threat to state and society. Pakistan is facing this dilemma at the moment. This dichotomy of posing political entity by a cult , has influenced the rationale of semi-educated half of the society.
Pakistan is already messed up society, living on the edge of mistrust and anxiety, due to foggy political discourse and economic constraints.
It is an age of fast and direct communication. The presser under debate was apt and very much required. New rules of engagement demand a quick response to mitigate propaganda. Since last four years, political parties have come hard to blame Army for political meddling. Thursday’s presser is new norm but very much required under present circumstances. Politics have an inherent quality to mix lies with truth and pose saviours . Establishment took some time but have concluded to meet political actors and communicate with them in language they understand. The killing of Arshad Sharif triggered blame game which necessitated the under discussion presser. Hopefully those involved in Arshad’s killing will be exposed soon. Meanwhile, it is clear to the public that rhetoric of foreign intervention to remove Imran Khan was a blatant lie. Khan was brought down by political opponents. His consistent efforts to destabilise domestic politics are now harming state. There is no bigger harm for a state than mistrust and chaos in society. The powers that be are adamant to overpower elements of chaos and mistrust in the country. Imran Khan will have to wait for next election. It is up to him if he waits for next election while riding in his container or jogging in the lawns of Banni Gala.
