Mahira Khan carries Princess Charming Wins an Award for Best Actress!

Mahira Khan, a Pakistani actress, was recently named Best Actress at the Indus Valley International Film Festival in New Delhi, India, for her work in the short film Prince Charming.

A 12-minute film starring Zahid Ahmed and Mahira in their first on-screen appearance together reportedly marked the directorial debut of actor-turned-director Sheheryar Munawar last year.

The Legend of Maula Jatt actor added in a statement to the press, “This award is dedicated to all the women who are suffering silently from post-marital depression.”

She said, “Such issues are considered taboo in our society, but here we are.” The Raees star said this.

For her part, Mahira said, “I’m pleased this role impacted the audience’s hearts; it’s one of the roles that will live on in my heart forever.”

The actress concluded by thanking her close friend Sheheryar for “having faith” in her.

The first act focuses on Mahira, a “unhappy married woman” who just wants to have fun with her busy husband (Zahid).
