Qatar announces first significant gas agreement for Germany.

Qatar announces it’s first major deal to send liquefied natural gas to Germany as Europe scrambles to find alternatives to Russian energy sources. Minister for Energy Saad Sherida Al – kaabi says approximately two million tons of gas a year would be sent for at least 15 years from 2026. Pressure on the German government to find new sources increased after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February. And the most recent agreement won’t help the national survive the impending winter.
