A “homeless woman” wins the lottery and becomes a multimillionaire.
The California Lottery said that a woman who didn’t have a place to live six years ago is now worth a lot of money because she won $5 million on a Scratchers ticket.
NDTV said that a woman from Sacramento named Lucia Forseth won a lot of money after buying a lucky lottery ticket at a Walmart Supercenter in Pittsburgh. Forseth bought the ticket at a Walmart Supercenter.
The news source says that Forseth scratched the winning ticket outside the store while she was changing the oil in her car.
“I only bought one ticket; I closed my eyes, picked that one, and it won!” I thought I had won a free ticket at first, but when I looked it up, it said I had won $5 million!” she said, showing how shocked and thankful she was.
“Six years ago, I didn’t have a home. I’m getting married, getting my associate’s degree, and winning $5 million all in the same year. You never think you have a chance. It’s not planned. “I never thought it would happen to someone like me, who was homeless just six years ago,” she said.
“Now, many years later, Forseth is one of California’s newest millionaires thanks to a lucky Scratchers ticket,” the California Lottery said in a news release.
“The California Lottery’s only goal is to raise more money for public education, and we can only do that with the help of our players,” said Carolyn Becker, a spokeswoman for the California Lottery.
Post a comment: “When I hear a success story like this, it shows how our games help both the winners and the schools.”
