According to Kangana Ranaut, Aamir Khan is behind the “Laal Singh Chaddha” boycott.

According to fellow Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, Aamir Khan allegedly created the negative buzz surrounding his upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha because recent box office results for Hindi films have been dismal. The hashtag #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha has received over 70,000 tweets on Twitter, indicating a significant response to Aamir’s next movie Laal Singh Chaddha.

Given that recent Hindi films haven’t done well at the box office, Kangana said that Aamir is to blame for the trend in her response to the issue. “I think all the hatred about the upcoming release Laal Singh Chadda is masterfully curated by mastermind Aamir Khan Ji himself,” the Gangster actress wrote in a note that she posted to her Instagram stories.

“This year, only south films that are thoroughly entrenched in Indian culture or have a local flavour have succeeded (with the exception of a comedic sequel in Hindi). A Hollywood adaptation would not have succeeded in any case, she continued.

“But now they will call India intolerant, Hindi films need to grasp the pulse of people it’s not about being a Hindu or Muslim,” the actress continued in her note.

“Aamir Khan Ji provided the biggest hits in his life even after he made the Hinduphobic PK or declared India intolerable. Please refrain from bringing up religion or ideology. It detracts from their poor performances and poor movies,” Kangana said.
