Babar Azam fulfils the wish of a “small” fan.

Remember the young cricket fan who praised the Pakistan team for their performance against Australia last year in a handwritten letter and received a warm response from Pakistan captain Babar Azam?

Now that Haroon Suria met the national team and his favourite player, Babar Azam, in the United Arab Emirates, his ambition of playing cricket for Pakistan has finally come true.

The images from Suria’s meeting with the cricket stars have now been posted by journalist Alina Shigri, who previously shared his message on social media.

Babar Azam and the Men in Green signed a bat and a T-shirt for the fan, “as promised by the Pakistan Cricket Board.”

The Pakistani squad received a handwritten letter from Suria last year that also included a separate note with a particular request for the captain.

Suria said in his letter that he loved Babar and was “extremely proud” of the team. Babar’s jersey number, 56, is visible inscribed at the top of the page.

Haroon described how he initially felt proud and believed Pakistan would win the T20 World Cup 2021 semi-final against Australia, “but in the middle I felt [nervous],” and finally he was “scared and afraid” at the conclusion. The youngster declared his desire to eventually lead the team as captain.

“InshaAllah, when I become captain, I’ll make sure to include every member of your team in my squad. The finals will be ours to win, “He composed.
