Babar, the captain, misses Shaheen after the T20 defeat to India

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, reportedly felt Shaheen Shah Afridi’s absence during the T20 encounter against India on Sunday.

In the opening match of the 2022 Asia Cup, Team Green was defeated by India by five wickets following a thrilling match. Unfortunately, because of an injury, top bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is no longer a member of the T20 squad for the Asia Cup in 2022.

Afridi’s absence is a serious loss for the team because last year, Pakistan beat India in the T20 world cup thanks in large part to the pacer’s spectacular performance.

Shaheen Shah Afridi was not there for the post-game presentation ceremony, and captain Babar Azam expressed his disappointment by saying, “Naseem Shah’s performance was excellent, but we missed Shaheen Shah Afridi’s presence.”

Furthermore, according to Babar Azam, Naseem’s performance made the game’s final stretch challenging for the opposition and exciting, but “we were 10 to 15 runs short.”
