Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest watch is covered with 388 gemstones
Cristiano Ronaldo’s watch may have envy watch collectors.
The football legend’s unique Caviar Flying Tourbillon “Tsavorites” is Jacob & Co.’s latest perk. The handmade watch’s moniker originates from its virtually all-green gems.
The watch’s bright colour honours Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo moved earlier this month to play for Al Nassr. Tsavorites are cheaper than emeralds but 200 times rarer, thus the watchmaker used them to create its green colour.
388 fine, baguette-cut tsavorites adorn the watch’s 47 mm 18k white gold case, bezel, face, and crown. This may seem excessive, but it gives the watch an eye-catching, all-green look. The watch’s strap, the only non-stoned part, is green alligator leather.
The watch’s calibre JCAA43 movement incorporates gem-setting-specific bridges. The hand-wound calibre powers the flying tourbillon at six o’clock. 42 hours of power reserve and 216 parts.
Green wristbands are unavailable. The Caviar Flying Tourbillon “Tsavorite,” valued at $780,000 by Hypebeast, is reserved for football’s all-time leading goal scorer.
Jacob & Co. has Ronaldo-themed timepieces for fans.
The company released the rose gold Flight of CR7 and stainless-steel Heart of CR7 watches late last year. Each watch has 99 components, one with diamonds and one without, and costs $34,988 to $181,331.
