Elon Musk says strange things about wars to come.

Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, said on Wednesday that future wars between countries that have the technology to mass-produce AI-controlled armed drones will be called “the drone wars.”

Musk said that AI is not needed for anything we do and that it is a “double-edged sword” while criticizing the technology at the Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council Summit in London, which he attended virtually.

The tech billionaire also said, “If you have a genie who can give you anything, that’s dangerous,” and he expects states around the world to “use AI to make weapons before anything else.”

The former CEO of Twitter, who is 51 years old, said that AI is really just about having more advanced weapons on the battlefield that can respond faster than any person could.

“Drone wars will be a big part of any future wars between advanced countries or at least countries that can use drones.”

Back in March, the founder of SpaceX and other tech leaders and CEOs urged the world to stop the fast growth of AI development, saying that it poses serious risks to humanity and civilization.

More than 1,000 people signed the letter asking for a six-month break in AI research.

The letter came after OpenAI, a tech startup in San Francisco, launched ChatGPT-4, a powerful chatbot that acts like a person. This made the tech giants compete to use AI technology.

Musk said, “Social media is one of the first places you need to be careful about AI being used to change public opinion.”

Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, said this about the US presidential election: “I think it’s something we need to keep an eye out for so that AI influence has as little of an effect as possible.

“We take that very seriously at Twitter, and I think we’re putting in all the safeguards we can to find large-scale system manipulation.”

Elon Musk is going to join Twitter Space with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who will announce his run for president in 2024 on Wednesday.

People think that DeSantis is the biggest threat to former President Donald Trump for the Republican election. In an audio chat with Musk, the governor will talk about his plans for the future.
