Floodwaters in Dadu flip a bus carrying 40 people.

Rescue workers reported that a bus carrying more than 40 people was overturned by powerful flash floods Tuesday along the Indus Highway, Mehar Bypass, as the disaster continues to devastate the nation.

According to the authorities, three of the 40 persons were washed away in the floods, while the other twenty were thankfully saved by local rescue crews.They stated that the passenger bus was going in the direction of Larkana.

The Mehar Indus Highway is currently under water as a result of localised flooding, and both of the highway’s tracks have been made impassable to vehicles.In Mehar’s Mangwani Union Council, more than 40 villages have flooded.

More than 33 million people have been affected by the devastating floods that have killed more than 1,100 people, wrecked infrastructure, and ruined crops in Pakistan.

The government has stated that preliminary estimates place the cost of the flood damage at over $10 billion and that the international community has a duty to assist South Asia in coping with the repercussions of anthropogenic climate change.

Flooding is occurring along the Indus river’s entire course as massive amounts of water are being dumped into it from the country’s northern peaks to its southern plains.
