Former Pakistani captain supports Arshdeep Singh in the Asia Cup

Mohammad Hafeez, the former captain of Pakistan, supported Arshdeep Singh after supporters on social media mocked him for a misplay during a vital Asia Cup match between Pakistan and India.

The former all-rounder encouraged the Indian bowler on Twitter by writing, “My wish to all Indian team fans: In sports, we make mistakes since we are human.”

As he included Singh in the tweet, Hafeez wrote, “Please don’t shame anyone on these blunders.”

The balance was fluctuating until the last overs, but Pakistan’s advantage shifted after the young pacer botched an otherwise simple catch of batter Asif Ali in the 18th over.

Ali struck, and the Men in Green went on to win the match and revenge their prior loss in the same competition by five wickets, providing a significant respite for Pakistan.

Virat Kohli, a former Indian captain, defended the young bowler by adding that everyone makes mistakes during a tense match.
