Hamza Advances to the WSF World Junior Squash Semifinals

Muhammad Hamza Khan has advanced to the semifinals of the World Squash Federation Men’s World Junior Individual Squash Championship in Nancy, France. According to information made public here, Hamza defeated Mohammed Nasser of Egypt in the quarterfinals on Sunday, 11-3, 5-11, 9-11, 11-5, 11-7, to advance to the semifinals, where he will face Finnlay Withington of England today (Monday).
Brice Nicolas of France defeated Pakistan’s Noor Zaman in the fourth round of the Individual event, 11-5, 11-8, 9-11, 11-4.
Air Marshal Aamir Masood, Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Squash Federation, also visited Nancy, France on August 12 and met with the CEO of the World Squash Federation, Mr. William Louis Marie, and the President of the French Squash Federation, Mr. Joilan Muller.

Apart from extensive discussions on the development of squash in Pakistan, Air Marshal Aamir Masood highlighted to world squash organisations that Pakistan is one of the safest countries for all sports, particularly squash, during his talks.

He went on to say that with the united efforts of the Pakistan Squash Federation and the Pakistan Air Force, the country will soon restore its lost status in squash. The CEO of the World Squash Federation and the President of the French Squash Federation both promised him of their continued support for the Pakistan Squash Federation’s future squash development.
