In a new teaser, Netflix’s ‘Elite’ gets an Indian ‘Class’ adaptation.

Elite, one of Netflix’s most successful shows, is receiving an Indian adaptation titled Class. The news was made during the just concluded Netflix Global Fan Event, TUDUM.

The original Spanish series chronicles the narrative of three working-class teenagers who enrol in the country’s most elite private school.They battle with the wealthy kids of the opulent institution, which leads to a murder. Elite Season 6 is set to premiere in 2023, directed by Carlos Montero and Dario Madrona.

The show’s Indian adaptation will follow the same premise, although the screenplay will include some adjustments tailored to the Indian audience.The plot revolves around Hampton International, an upmarket school in New Delhi, where three pupils from non-elite backgrounds enrol and everything changes forever.

Sukesh Motwani, Mautik Tolia, and Persis Siganporia produce the show, which is directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. 

In key parts, the film will star Gurfateh Pirzada, Anjali Sivaraman, Ayesha Kanga, Chayan Chopra, Cyaawal Singh, Chintan Rach, Madhyama Segal, Moses Koul, Naina Bhan, Piyush Khati, and Zeyn Shaw.Class’s premiere date has yet to be revealed by Netflix.
