In his backyard, a man in Portugal finds 82-foot-long dinosaur ribs.

According to Fox News, a Portuguese man discovered what scientists believe to be the remains of the largest dinosaur ever in his backyard. The fossils are currently being uncovered by an international scientific team. According to reports, the man noticed the preserved bones years ago.

The specimen, which is likely to be the bones of a brachiosaurid sauropod dinosaur, was discovered in central Portugal. The University of Lisbon estimates that this enormous animal was 39 feet tall and almost 82 feet long. It was odd to find the ribs of such a large animal “maintaining their original anatomical position,” according to Elisabete Malafaia, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lisbon.

She claimed that, particularly in sauropods, this specific method of preservation was unusual.Sauropods lived from 160 to 100 million years ago and were herbivores. They are known today for their long necks and tails.Reportedly, the man first noticed the bones in 2017 while doing construction work on his property.
