ISPR reports that four troops were killed in a suicide strike on a military convoy in North Waziristan.

A suicide bomber blew himself up near a military convoy in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district on Tuesday, killing four soldiers, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the military’s media wing, the martyred troops were identified as Lance Naik Shah Zaib, Lance Naik Sajjad, Sepoy Umair, and Sepoy Khurram.

“The Pakistan Army is resolved to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR stated, adding that the brave troops’ sacrifices would not be in vain.

According to the ISPR, security officials are probing the suicide bomber and his facilitators.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has severely condemned the suicide attack in Mir Ali on a military convoy.

In a statement, he offered his condolences for the deaths of four soldiers in the incident.

Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the nation’s resolute resolve to eradicate the threat of terrorism, saying terrorists will not be allowed to succeed in their heinous plans.

He offered glowing homage to the warriors who gave their lives in the fight against the terrorists.

The prime minister prayed to Allah Almighty for higher positions in Jannah for the martyrs and patience for the bereaved families.
