Kevin Feige, who is in charge of Marvel, says that Disney+ has “too much” MCU content.
Leader of Marvel Kevin Feige talked about how Disney+ has a lot of Marvel shows.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feige said, “I do think that having these movies and TV shows hit the zeitgeist is one of the most powerful parts of working at Marvel Studios.”
“When there are so many products and, as they say, “content,” which is a word I hate, it’s harder to hit the zeitgeist. But we want the projects from Marvel Studios and the MCU to really stand out and be the best. So, as we move through Phases 5 and 6, people will see that. The rate at which the Disney+ shows come out will change so that each one can have a chance to shine.”
In the past couple of years, the studio has turned to TV as a major way to tell MCU stories, with eight shows coming out so far.
But some fans questioned the amount of content, and Feige hinted that the Marvel series could be spread out and fewer shows could be released each year.
