Mehreen Baloch, a female boxer, has set her sights on higher goals.

Mehreen Baloch, Pakistan’s first female boxer to compete in the Commonwealth Games, has set her sights on higher achievements. Mehreen is Pakistan’s sole female boxer and a national women’s boxing champion as well as a bronze medalist at the South Asian Games.

She is also Pakistan’s first female boxer to compete in the Commonwealth Games. Mehreen was named to the five-person roster for the multisport tournament, which is set to begin on Thursday in Birmingham, UK. Her maiden fight is expected to be on August 2 in the 57kg weight class. Mahreen told Geo.tv from Birmingham that she is thrilled to be part of Pakistan’s presence at the Commonwealth Games as the country’s sole female boxer.

“I don’t have enough words to express how honoured I feel to having accomplished this.” “It is a proud moment for me,” she remarked. The fighter from Lyari stated that while becoming the first female boxer from Pakistan puts her under pressure at this point, she is ready to meet the challenge. “I’ve worked extremely hard.”

“I believe in myself and my hard work, and I am optimistic about the country’s future,” she stated. When asked who influenced her boxing career, she mentioned Pakistani boxer Laila Ali, the daughter of renowned Mohammad Ali.

“Although I began boxing after hearing about Mohammad Ali, it was his daughter Laila who really motivated me.” The way Laila fought in the ring inspired all of the girls. “She is without a doubt my role model,” Mehreen stated.

The boxer has previously won many national medals as well as a bronze medal in the South Asian Games, but she isn’t satisfied and has higher objectives. Mehreen stated that her goal is to not only represent the country at the Olympic Games, but also to earn a medal for the country.

“I don’t want to limit myself to the South Asian, Asian, or Commonwealth levels.” “My ultimate objective is to compete in the Olympics and bring home a medal for my nation,” she stated.”This is not an impossible achievement; if I continue to work hard, I can accomplish it,” she said.
