Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi performs Umrah

Pakistani bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is currently in Saudi Arabia, where he has been given the opportunity to undertake Umrah.

Shaheen has not cut himself off from the online community and regularly posts updates for his followers.

The quick bowler posted an image of himself at the Khana-e-Ka’aba to Twitter and Instagram.

In the caption, he wrote, “Alhamdulillah.”

Soon after Shaheen uploaded the photo, followers swarmed the comments section with their admiration for one of the best bowlers in the world.

Sajid Khan, a cricketer for Pakistan who made his debut with the national squad in April 2021, offered his congratulations to Shaheen.

The fast man, who had been sidelined since November 2022 due to a knee injury, has now recovered completely and is ready to return to action.

“I have roughly 55 overs under my belt during training and I’m ready to feature in all forms of cricket,” Shaheen stated to the media.

The pacer claimed that his bowling was back to normal and that he was prepared to return to action.

In order to rest his injured knee, which he sustained in the T20 World Cup 2022 final on November 13 against England, 22-year-old Shaheen is not currently with the Pakistan side.

“It was difficult for me to take a backseat and watch. The team’s necessity motivated me to play in the T20 World Cup. It wouldn’t have been this way if I’d been rushing in to bowl in the T20 World Cup “when asked about his off-field activities, the pacer remarked

Similarly, Shaheen was upset that he would have to miss the home season, which included matches against England and New Zealand.

Having to miss the home series against England and New Zealand really bothered me. He explained, “I really wanted to play in front of my home crowd and contribute to the team’s victory.”

In the 2018 season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the tall pacer will captain the Lahore Qalandars, the reigning champions.

Dates for the eighth season of the PSL have been set for February 13th through March 19th, 2023.

If the fast bowler completes the rehabilitation programme and receives clearance from the medical personnel, then Shaheen will be able to return to international cricket.

Recently, Shaheen has been using Twitter to upload footage from his training sessions.
