Pakistan has seen a continuous decrease in COVID-19 instances.
Data from the National Institute of Health (NIH) showed that coronavirus cases in Pakistan have been steadily declining over the last five days.
For the last two days, there have been no COVID-19 deaths throughout the country. The last coronavirus-related deaths were recorded on August 5, when two patients died. According to NIH data, the total number of COVID-19 deaths is 30,505.According to NIH statistics, the country recorded 644 illnesses out of a total of 22,126 tests performed in the previous 24 hours.
The country’s optimism rate has dropped to 2.81 percent. With the additional infections, the total number of cases documented in the country since the pandemic began in 2020 is now 1,558,557. A day earlier, the country reported 673 instances, while the daily count on Friday was 750. (August 5).
Despite the lower daily figure, the country’s confirmed case count has risen to 9,399, the most in the last two weeks, according to data. The last time the active case count surpassed 10,000 was on July 16, when there were 10,000 cases.
According to the NIH, 164 individuals are still being treated in intensive-care units (ICU) around the country.
