Pakistan’s national anthem has been re-recorded after 68 years.

On the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif released the newly re-recorded national song produced with current technology.

After 68 years, the national song was re-recorded with the involvement of 155 singers, 48 musicians, and 6 bandmasters.

PM Shehbaz has become the second elected prime minister, following Liaquat Ali Khan, to have the honour of releasing the anthem. The initiative was done in partnership with several agencies, including the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the International Service for Public Relations (ISPR).

This patriotic endeavour was also supported by the brass bands of all three armed branches. The new pieces, recorded with great imaging, represent a rainbow of Pakistan’s ethnic and regional colours.Addressing a national flag-hoisting and re-recording ceremony of the national anthem here at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that, like their forebears, they committed to build Pakistan into an economic power on this 75th Independence Day.

PM Shehbaz emphasised the importance of holding a national debate and creating consensus among all stakeholders on the “charter of economy” in order to put the country on a path of prosperity and economic stability.”If we can become a nuclear power, we can also become an economic power,” he added. “But we have to work day and night to prove to the world that we are no less than anyone else.”Federal ministries, lawmakers, senior military and law enforcement personnel, and citizens from all walks of life attended the ceremony.
