Prince Charles was ‘persuaded’ by the Queen Mother to stay in the royal family: Details
According to a royal specialist, Prince Charles nearly left the royal family in the 1990s but was persuaded to stay by his grandmother, the Queen Mother.
On the most recent episode of the Royally Us podcast, hosted by Christina Garibaldi and featuring royal authority Gareth Russell, the revelation was made.
According to Russell, Prince Charles and Diana’s connection with the media almost got to be too much for the future King to manage, so he decided to live a part-time royal existence in Italy.
Russell did, however, previously disclose to Kinsey Schofield on the To Di for Daily podcast that Prince Charles was considering moving to Italy in the early 1990s.
Then, when she discussed it with Charles, “it became quite evident to Charles that she was instructing him: ‘Do not leave this nation,'” according to the book.
