Six Pakistan Army servicemen died in a helicopter crash in Balochistan on Tuesday, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The wreckage of the tragic helicopter, which was on flood relief operations, was discovered in Musa Goth, Windar, and Lasbela, according to the military’s media arm.

“All six officers and troops, including Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali, embraced shahadat,” ISPR reported, adding that the mishap was caused by unfavourable weather, according to preliminary investigations. The military chopper had lost communication with air traffic control the day before while flying from Quetta to Karachi.

Six people were on board, including Commander 12 Corps, who was coordinating flood relief activities in Balochistan, according to the military’s media wing.According to the data, the helicopter’s pilot was Major Saeed Ahmed, and the co-pilot was Major Mohammad Talha Manan. Brigadier Amjad Hanif, Brigadier Muhammad Khalid, and Naik Mudassir Fayyaz, the Director-General of Coast Guards, were also on board the helicopter.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif heard the most recent information about the event during a phone call with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa. During the phone call, the COAS informed the prime minister about the continuing search activities that began last night.

The prime minister had voiced concern about the safety of Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali, Commander of 12 Corps, and the other six officials and jawans on board the helicopter. He described Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali as a thorough professional and a wonderful person.

He described the officers and jawans who assisted flood victims as an exceptional example of dedication and service.The premier stated that helping brothers, sisters, and children in need represented the true power of the Pakistani people.
