After the nation’s power regulator increased the national average cost by about Rs5 last week, it was revealed on Saturday that the federal cabinet has approved an increase of up to Rs7.5 per unit in the base power tariff.
The federal cabinet had approved the regulator’s request for price increases in the uniform tariff, the power ministry claimed in the letter.
