The government will give 5 days off for Eid ul Fitr in 2023.
As the last 10 days of Ramadan start, the federal government announced on Thursday that it had approved a five-day holiday for one of the most anticipated holidays for Muslims that marks the end of the holy month of fasting.
The government said that the Cabinet Division suggested the Eid holidays and that they were accepted.
The Eid holidays will be from April 21 to April 25, the Interior Ministry said.
The Ministry of Interior will be in charge of letting people know about the Eid breaks.
When will Eid ul Fitr be?
A statement from the ministry of religious affairs on Tuesday said that the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on April 20 to look for the Eid ul Fitr crescent moon.
The meeting will take place at the religious affairs ministry in Islamabad. Ruet-e-Halal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will be in charge, according to the statement.
In the same statement, it was also said that the meetings of the zonal groups will take place in certain places all over the country.
Ramadan 2023 began on March 23, even though there was a lot of confusion at the meeting to look at the moon.
