The Queen has forbidden Prince Harry from wearing the letters “ER” on his uniform.

When Prince Harry dressed his military uniform to stand solemn vigil by his late grandmother’s coffin on Saturday, he was “devastated to learn that Queen Elizabeth II’s “ER” initials had been removed from the shoulder.

The Duke of Sussex stood guard around the late Queen’s casket for the first time since 2020 while donning his Blues and Royals uniform per King Charles III’s request.

The late monarch’s ER initials, which could be seen on the shoulders of the Prince of Wales and the disgraced Duke of York’s uniforms, were conspicuously absent from Meghan’s husband’s attire.

The Sunday Times reported that Harry was “devastated” by the modification and contemplated donning his funeral robes to prevent “humiliation.”
