Umrah pilgrims can now use any Saudi Arabian airport.
In an effort to help Umrah pilgrims from all over the world, including Pakistan, the government of Saudi Arabia said on Tuesday that religious tourists could enter and leave the country through any international airport.
In a circular, the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) told all national and foreign airlines operating in the country, as well as private airlines, that Umrah travellers must be able to arrive and leave on scheduled flights through any international airport in the kingdom.
Umrah pilgrims can now use any Saudi Arabian airport.
If you don’t follow what the GACA tells you to do, that’s a clear violation of the government’s order, read the circular.
The GACA also said that people who broke the law would be taken to court and held accountable.
Before, Umrah pilgrims could only arrive and leave through the airports in Jeddah and Madina.
