WhatsApp will release a useful tool for business users.
Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp, is adding a new tool for users who have set up their businesses on the instant messaging app.
The website for tracking apps says that the “status archive” tool would let businesses share their past status updates with their customers.
This function will be added to WhatsApp Business for Android beta testers and will be available to more people in the coming weeks.
WhatsApp wants to update the app, but it is also improving the features that are already there. With this function, businesses’ status updates will be saved after 24 hours.
Once this function is turned on for your WhatsApp account, a banner will appear in the Status tab to let you know.
“You can also change your archive settings and see your archive straight from the Status tab’s menu. “Note that the archive is always private, so only the business can see their old status updates,” the WhatsApp watcher said.
This function would be helpful for businesses because they could send customers the same status update from their archives as many times as they want.
“These status updates will be kept on the device for up to 30 days. They can still create ads for Facebook and Instagram or share the status updates until they expire in the archive,” WaBetaInfo said.
This tool looks like it’s only for businesses and not for WhatsApp Messenger users.
