YouTuber Jameel Farooqui is detained due to unfounded complaints about the police in Islamabad

According to the Islamabad Police, Jameel Farooqui, a YouTuber and social media activist who is located in Karachi, was detained for making untrue accusations against the Islamabad Police about the alleged torture of senior PTI politician Shahbaz Gill.

Farooqui was detained in Karachi as a result of a complaint made against him at the Ramna Police Station in Islamabad, according to a statement released by the capital city police.

In his vlog, Farooqui allegedly falsely claimed that the Islamabad Police had abused Gill both physically and sexually.

The statement also said that the police had threatened to take action against people who were spreading incendiary, misleading, and fraudulent claims.
