PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s chief of staff Shahbaz Gill’s health is now satisfactory, according to sources at the Pakistan Institute Of Medical Sciences (PIMS), after Gill was admitted to the hospital the night before due to health complications.

Gill has been in police custody since August 9, when he was arrested in Islamabad on suspicion of sedition after making controversial remarks on a private news channel. He complained of breathing difficulties last night and was transferred from Adiala Jail to the hospital.

According to PIMS sources, when the former special assistant to the prime minister was taken to the hospital last night, his electrocardiogram (ECG) report was inadequate.

According to medical facility sources, Gill will be monitored and may be subjected to a second round of tests.

They added that because his heartbeat was fast the day before, he will have an ECG today as well.
