Alia Bhatt’s daughter Raha gets a special gift from Rhea

This year, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor became parents for the first time to their daughter Raha.

This past Saturday, actress Gangubai Kathiawadi posted a photo of a sweet new bedding set for her baby that was a present from a friend.

A photo of Raha’s pink crib set, which had her name embroidered into the fabric in white calligraphy, was posted to the new mother’s Instagram story. She responded, “Tag your buddy and the brand in this,” and then tagged the brand and her pal “Absolutely stunning bed linens. I appreciate it very much, my dear Rhea.”

In a touching post that included a photo of the proud parents cuddling their newborn, the pair revealed the name of their new addition to the family.

In her letter, she said “Her Dadi, ever the sage, picked out the lovely name Raha for her. In its most abstract sense, the word Raha signifies the route to God; in Swahili, the word indicates joy; in Sanskrit, it refers to a family; in Bangla, it means rest; in Arabic, it means peace; and in all of these languages, it also implies happiness, freedom, and ecstasy. And true to her name, we felt all there was to feel the second we held her. Thanks to you, Raha, our family is finally a reality, and it feels like we’re just getting started.”

The actress has roles in two upcoming Bollywood films: Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Jee Le Zara.
