Austin Butler remembers working with Quentin Tarantino with great fondness. “We love making movies!” he says.

Austin Butler has won a lot of important awards this year for his great work in Elvis. But the actor has said that it was his dream to work with Quentin Tarantino, who is known as a great director.

In Tarantino’s 2019 movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Butler played a member of Charles Manson’s cult in a small part.

“I’ve talked a lot about how much Quentin meant to me,” Butler said on the YouTube talk show Hot Ones. My dream was always to work with him.”

But he had no idea that Tarantino and the rest of his crew had some kind of ritual while they were filming.

Butler was in the movie with Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. “It was always my dream to work with him,” Butler said. On set, he tells us, “OK, we got it. We’ll do just one more. You get it?”

“And everyone on the set shouts, ‘Because we love making movies!'” And you don’t know about it the first time you go there. So Brad, Leo, and everyone else are like, “Why? Because we love making movies!” he continued.

Butler also said that Quentin’s fun way of making movies has stood out to him because other things he’s done haven’t been as fun.

“That was so cool with Quentin, because it changed the atoms in the room. The next time someone says, “We love making movies!” you’ll know what they mean.

“At that point, every new crew member, actor, or anyone else is suddenly part of the tribe and says, “We love making movies!”

Butler is up for an Oscar for Best Actor for his role as Elvis Presley in the biopic movie coming out in 2022.
