Following flash floods, PTA reports internet and mobile phone service interruptions in various KP regions.
As a result of ongoing torrential rains and flash floods across the nation, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said on Saturday that communication links have been disrupted in various Khyber Pakhtunkhwa locations.
The telecom regulator stated that there is a “effect” on the services as a result of flash floods damaging optical fibre cable and causing power outages.
In Chitral, Upper Dir, Donbala, Swat, Mardan, Lal Qila Samarbaghdir, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan, services have been impacted.
“PTA is keeping a close eye on the situation. Work to fully restore services is in progress “telecommunications regulator said.
The death toll from rain and floods has risen to 982, according to government statistics, devastating flash floods have put an end to people’s lives throughout Pakistan.
As the government makes a request to international donors in an effort to help the people, hundreds of thousands of homes have been damaged and a great number of people have been forced to relocate.
