HEC warns students about TNE Policy infractions.

On Monday, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) warned students to watch out for violations of the Transnational Education (TNE) Policy by higher education institutions (HEIs).

According to a statement from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), “it has been observed with grave concern that several Pakistani institutions offering qualifications in collaboration with foreign universities under […] TNE Policy are violating HEC policies while admitting students.”

Students are having difficulties obtaining the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to recognize or equate their degrees as a result, according to the officials.

In order to ensure that all legal requirements are satisfied when providing admission, all recognized institutions in Pakistan that impart foreign qualifications have been advised, according to the statement.

Additionally, students must complete 12 years of study in order for HEC to recognize or correlate their degree.
