Jungkook of BTS says he got confused about his FIFA World Cup invite.

Jungkook of BTS said in a recent video from BigHit that he didn’t understand why he was asked to perform at the FIFA World Cup. In the clip, the singer said that he found out about the performance through a text message, but he thought that the invitation was for all of BTS to perform at the event. He didn’t find out that he was the only one performing until later, at which point he “broke out in a cold sweat.”

On November 20, Jungkook performed his hit song Dreamers, which was made by RedOne, a Moroccan singer, songwriter, and producer. He was joined by Fahad Al Kubaisi, a Qatari artist, and then Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman told the story.

Jungkook was the first Korean performer to take the stage at the FIFA World Cup. The song was the only K-pop song to reach 100 million streams on Spotify so quickly. It did so in only 35 days. It also broke the record for the most streams in the first week and first day by a single Korean artist.
