On the eve of Independence Day, the PTI will host a power show in Lahore.
The PTI announced Monday that it will hold its power show in Lahore, Punjab’s capital, on the eve of Independence Day, August 13, as Imran Khan rallies supporters against the government.
Khan was deposed as prime minister in April following a no-confidence vote, and he has since held enormous rallies across the country.
The PTI chairman believes that the US and the opposition planned to depose his party from office. Both, though, dispute the claim. The PTI reported today on Twitter, “On the night of August 13-14, a massive Independence Day celebration will be conducted at the Hockey Stadium.” The tweet stated that the PTI’s chairman would attend the event and address attendees.
The government authorised the PTI to host the jalsa but denied the TLP’s request to stage a rally at the Parade Ground. The tweet stated that the PTI’s chairman would attend the event and address attendees.
