Sanjay Dutt preferred death over cancer treatment: See why?

After learning he had lung cancer in 2020, Sanjay Dutt chose to die rather than undergo treatment.

He recently revealed at an event that after his diagnosis, Dutt told his sister Priya that he would prefer death to chemotherapy.

He also mentioned that his mother Nargis and his wife Richa Sharma both passed away from cancer.

The Munna Bhai MBBS star was quoted as saying, “My first reaction was that, once you hear something like this, your whole life reflects back at you. The disease runs in my family. Both my mother and my wife passed away from cancer of the brain. In other words, I immediately stated my opposition to chemotherapy. I don’t want any treatment if I’m going to die anyway.

Sanjay was previously diagnosed with severe lung cancer back when he was in the midst of filming Shamshera in the year 2020. After the actor had recovered, filming could resume.

The 63-year-old actor is one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, having appeared in a wide variety of films including Sadak, Khal Nayak, Desi Boyz, KGF Chapter 2, and many more.
