Shahbaz Gill is willing to clarify the miscommunication and apologize: lawyer

PTI senior leader Shahbaz Gill’s attorney informed the district and sessions court in Islamabad when it started hearing Gill’s bail request in a sedition case on Monday that Gill is ready to retract his controversial statements.

Gill was detained near the capital’s Banigala Chowk on August 9, a day after making contentious comments on a private TV program. Charges of sedition and instigating members of state institutions against the Pakistan Army led to his arrest.

As instructed by the judge at the previous hearing of his bail application, the Islamabad Capital City Police opened the hearing by presenting the case file in court.

This morning, the hearing regarding the bail plea was resumed by additional District and Sessions judge Zafar Iqbal.Burhan Moazzam, the attorney for Gill, requested access to the case files that inspector Arshad had presented to the court during the hearing.
