Sonam Kapoor responds to critics of her maternity photos: “I have moved past this,”

Following the announcement of her first pregnancy with spouse Anand Ahuja in a joint photoshoot in March 2022, Sonam Kapoor has consistently faced criticism for flaunting her baby belly and appearing for maternity photoshoots.

She always made the decision to keep quiet and not respond to these trolls, though. In a recent interview, she admitted that responding to trolling was not a huge deal for her.

She stated, “I guess the one thing I have grown out of is reacting to stuff I don’t need to react to,” in an interview with Vogue. Thankfully, much of it has come with experience, but it has also partly developed because I am aware of how fortunate I am.

It really is none of my concern whether someone is disparaging me online because I come from a position of immense privilege and I literally have nothing to complain about.

Sonam continued, “It shouldn’t be shocking if I put something out today to celebrate my body and my gender. I have always been the type of person to speak up about things like stretch marks, dark bags under the eyes, PCOS, and weight gain,Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor got married in May 2018 and had their first child in August 2022.
