Suniel Shetty reveals why he ‘quit’ movies

Suniel Shetty has explained his absence from Bollywood films.

He told Bollywood Bubble in a recent interview that his children Ahan and Athiya are always asking him why he isn’t in movies anymore. His words were, “It’s been a long time. In the past, I’ve dabbled in Darbar, Kannada, Pailwaan, and one other film here and there, but that was more of a “test run” to see if I still remembered the craft. Do I need to remind myself? Has anyone heard me yet? Obviously, I get a lot of affection no matter where I go. I can’t believe it.

His children, he said, “say Baba it’s unbelievable why did you go out.” I admitted that my mistakes were likely responsible for my dismissal. I was able to attract a crowd, but they weren’t interested in paying for the garbage I was spouting. You learn the hard way that when you consistently pump out subpar content, people start saying, “I don’t want to pay for this.”

He was only recently seen in Dharavi Bank, a web series. Together with Sidharth Malhotra, he was also in A Gentleman. In addition to joining Paresh Rawal for Hera Pheri, he has also decided to join the cast. Akshay Kumar, meanwhile, has turned down the opportunity to star in the film.
