The actor Johnny Depp is “very delighted” to play “Moonman” at the VMAs: Ready to make a comeback

The rumoured Moonman performance by Johnny Depp at the 2022 MTV VMAs has been confirmed, and the actor is “very pleased” to make a comeback.

The silver astronaut statue that the victors receive at the illustrious ceremony will be transformed by the actor into a “real-life Moon Person,” a production insider informed The Post.

The source continued by saying that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor will virtually appear on the programme.

Depp, who has won five MTV Movie Awards in his 38-year acting career, including the 2012 Generations Award and Global Superstar, is “very delighted,” the insider said.

Following his victory over his ex-wife Amber Heard in a shocking defamation case, the insider claimed that the celebrity is “ready for his comeback.” The trial for the case lasted six gruelling weeks.

Although Depp shared the stage with Jeff Beck during the latter’s summer European tour, the upcoming performance will mark Depp’s first on-camera outing since the libel lawsuit.

Along with LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj, and Jack Harlow, Depp is scheduled to make an appearance at the event on Sunday at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
