Will the SBP make new money notes for Eid ul Fitr 2023?

Pakistanis are getting ready for Eid ul Fitr, a religious holiday that Muslims all over the world enjoy. They are also looking for ways to get new money to give to children as Eidi.

Before Eid, people are trying to get their hands on fresh, new currency notes of different amounts for Eidi, but there aren’t enough to meet the demand. This is because people are trying to get their hands on fresh notes on their own.

Every year, on Eid, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) prints billions of new currency notes. However, it won’t print any new currency notes for the general public this time.

In the eyes of children, the usual cash gifts called “Eidi” make Eid ul Fitr a bigger and better holiday than Eid ul Adha.

When is Eid ul Fitr 2023?
People think Eid ul Fitr will be on April 21, but Khalid Aijaz, Secretary General of the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, says that won’t happen because the moon won’t be seen on April 20.

The official told Geo News that the crescent that marks the beginning of Shawwal will be seen after 30 days of Ramadan are over. This means that Eid ul Fitr will be on Saturday, April 22.

Aijaz also said when the moon would be seen. He said the new crescent will be born at 9:13 a.m. on April 20 and will be less than 10 hours old that day.

“The time must be more than 19 hours for the crescent to be seen, and even if the sky is clear on April 20, the moon won’t be seen,” he said.

So, any evidence that comes in on April 20 will be false, since Ramadan will last 30 days and the first day of Shawwal will be April 22.

A statement from the ministry of religious affairs on Tuesday said that the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on April 20 to look for the Eid ul Fitr crescent moon.
