Kohli reflects on his team’s miraculous victory over Pakistan, saying, “Never felt energy like that.”

Virat Kohli, the Indian batter who scored the most runs at this year’s T20 World Cup in Australia, recently reflected on the tense match against Pakistan that took place on October 23.

The former captain of India took to Twitter to express his delight at the unexpected victory over Pakistan, which was sparked by an unbeaten 80 from the top batter.

That evening was blessed,” Kohli wrote on October 23, 2022.

He went on to say that he had “never felt energy like that in a cricket game before,” referring to the 90,00 spectators who had packed into Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Kohli and his batting partner Hardik Pandya (40) led India to a thrilling last-ball victory in a match that Pakistan had seemingly won.

Pakistan’s score of 159-8, which Kohli chased valiantly, was a result of the innings’s stifling conditions. The much-anticipated match between Pakistan and India ended in an India victory with four wickets still in play.

The blue team only scored 45 points in the first half of the chase. Kohli came to the crease when the team was falling behind and miraculously turned things around with the batter hitting crucial shots.

India needed 16 runs in the final over after the pair’s historic comeback, and Mohammad Nawaz’s nerves gave them a boost toward their goal. India ultimately prevailed over Pakistan thanks to a series of wides and no-balls in the final over that bolstered the confidence of the batting duo.

However, the formidable English duo of Alex Hales and Jos Buttler eliminated India from the tournament in the semi-finals. Together, they put on a devastating performance, and their unbeaten halves helped the red team rout the blue team.
