South Asia and Middle East are geographically and geopolitically connected to each other in many ways. Iran has attacked Israel and now Israel has threatened to retaliate. It is a global contest which will affect every country in the world. Particularly, security of south Asia is in limbo.
South Asian region has come under massive duress due to #IranIsraelWar
Lines are getting drawn: US, EU, KSA, Jordon, are supporting Israel. Russian President has declared its support to #IRAN but has warned the world of price hike in commodities.
How will India respond to conflict is very important for south Asia, particularly for Pakistan. India-Iran has deep security and trade nexus. Iran is harbinger of connectivity for India towards Central Asia . Iran forms a linkage between Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf. It holds control over straits of Hormuz.
Oil export from Iran to India is a major factor of bilateral relations between India and Iran.
Indian response to fresh war between Iran and Israel will set strategy options for Pakistan. India might not directly show its inclination but will try it’s best to make Pakistan vulnerable to the emerging security situation. Pakistan must not be physically drawn to conflict.
Pakistan can not ignore Indian mind set of adventurism and blame game. BJP has mostly relied for votes by provoking Hindu extremism through false flag and hoax ops.
Indian foreign policy choices are very limited which might force it to adopt diversionary tactics as they always do. India-Israel nexus is no hidden information. Pakistan will have to remain vigilant on diplomatic, security particularly asymmetric Indian moves and information warfare. Tough call : To remain away from conflict yet 24/7 vigilance.
