35 people were shot during Karachi’s Independence Day celebrations.

As many as 35 individuals, including five women, were shot during Karachi’s Independence Day festivities at midnight.

According to Geo News, security personnel opened fire on a crowd of children in North Karachi to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence.

Aerial shooting was also recorded in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7, Bahadurabad, Yousuf Plaza, Liaquatabad, Gulbahar, Chakiwara, Soldier Bazaar, New Town, PIB Colony, and other localities.

Meanwhile, police apprehended and seized guns from a suspect involved in aerial firing in the Eidgah ground area.
