Huma Qureshi has talked about how she thinks Indian movies are shown in the west.

Qureshi says that the way India is shown on the world stage is getting better every day. This is especially true now that some Indian projects have made it to the Oscars.

“Indian movies have been interesting to people in the west for a long time. “But what deserves applause and should be celebrated is that a Telugu film (RRR) that shows the true spirit of commercial Indian cinema won the Oscar for Best Original Song and other important awards in the US this year,” she said.

“That’s not all. The Elephant Whisperers won the Oscar for Best Documentary Short Film, which was a home run. As an Indian and a member of the Indian film industry, I was happy that we had won awards in two very different categories.
