According to Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif has denied the POL hike.

According to PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif has conveyed his disagreement to the federal government’s proposal to raise the pricing of petroleum items.

The government raised the price of petrol by Rs6.72 per litre for the next two weeks on Monday. “In light of swings in international petroleum prices and exchange rate fluctuations, the government has decided to alter existing pricing or petroleum products to pass on the impact to consumers,” the Finance Division said in a statement.

The public reacted angrily to the government’s decision. Citizens believe that the prices of petroleum products are falling around the world, but that they are being raised in Pakistan.

As many expressed their dissatisfaction with the government’s decision, one Twitter user tagged Maryam Nawaz and asked her to “talk to Mian Nawaz Sharif to take notice of the increase in the price of petrol.”

Maryam responded in response to the user: “Mian Sahib was vehemently opposed to the choice. He even stated that I could not burden the people with another dime.”She stated that her father was not on board and that if the government was constrained by some constraint, it should proceed with the hike. According to Maryam, the PML-N supremo disavowed the POL increase decision and left the meeting.
