Akshay Kumar explains why he chose not to participate in Hera Pheri 3.

Fans of Hera Phera 3 are devastated by Akshay Kumar’s departure, as he played a pivotal role in the film’s success. Hera Pheri 3 would star Kartik Aaryan instead of Akshay Kumar.

After discussing the film at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2022, Akshay remarked, “Hera Pheri has become a part of me. My memory is quite good, as is the case with most people. It makes me sad, too, that there hasn’t been a third installment of this series for so long. It’s true that we need to take things apart, but that’s what I meant earlier. I was given a role in the film, but I declined because I was unhappy with the writing.

Later, he said, “I have to do what people want to see. And that’s why I decided to withdraw my consent. In order to hide my identity, I stepped backward. For me, it’s a necessary part of the road I’m on. It’s a major bummer that I’m unable to participate, too. However, I am dissatisfied with the direction that the artistic endeavors have taken.

Furthermore, the actor mentioned that the lack of diversity in Hindi cinema is to blame for its decline. His words were, “Audience wants something different. No, the audience has nothing to do with it being our fault. That which they demand must be provided.
