Amid PTI protest, the Islamabad Police seal the Red Zone.
The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has blocked off entrance to the Red Zone before to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demonstration, which will take place in front of the Pakistan Election Commission office (ECP).
According to the details, the Red Zone is off-limits to all vehicles, and the Islamabad Traffic Police (IPT) has emphasised that no rallies or protests of any kind are allowed there. According to the Islamabad Police,
Third Road would be used to enter the diplomatic area, while Margallah Road should be used as a detour for government employees, the media, and litigants. The police further stated that anyone who break the law will face harsh penalties.
In order to prevent the PTI from conducting a protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office on Thursday, it is vital to mention that the government is said to have sealed off Islamabad D-Chowk. According to reports, this was done by obstructing the street with containers.
Former prime minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, announced that the PTI would hold a protest outside the ECP office and demand the resignation of Sikandar Sultan Raja, the CEC.
