Bushra Ansari takes legal action against ‘fake’ accounts on Twitter

In a press release, Bushra Ansari exposed the individuals who are using her “false” Twitter accounts.

These accounts were starting political arguments against Imran Khan, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Bushra tried contacting the Cyber Crime Cell in Karachi.

Several dozen phoney Twitter profiles using her identity exist, according to the complaint. There have been malicious political campaigns by these accounts. Bushra, in a video released accompanied the press release, vents her frustration and vows to pursue legal action against the profiles responsible in the strongest possible terms.

Nothing, she said, is more disheartening than smearing celebrities for attention, and she has been in the business for forty years. She added that she does not speak publicly on politics and that her sole goal is to provide enjoyment for her country.
