Here’s why Kareena Kapoor turned down Saif Ali Khan’s marriage proposal twice.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, affectionately known as ‘Saifeena’ by their admirers, married in 2012.

The lovebirds, who never hesitate to declare their feelings for one another, had encountered a stumbling block in their romance.

In a recent interview, she was asked if she had said no to Saif’s marriage proposal as she had to Laal’s (Aamir Khan) wedding proposal. “Yeah!” said the Omkara actor. I can’t even recall. Perhaps it was twice or more. But what matters is that I finally said yes.”

“I was still madly in love.” Maybe I believed it was too soon, or that we were still getting to know each other. All I know is that it was because of that. But I suppose I was always certain I’d marry him,” she continued.

Taimur Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, the Tashan actors’ two children, were born in 2016 and 2021, respectively. In October of this year, the pair will celebrate ten years of marriage.
